Absolutely loved our stay here. The owner is a very lovely women, she runs the place with kindness and generosity. And she had great suggestions for our day trips in the area.
A very warm welcome and a constant presence. A superb period house with all the modern comforts. Extraordinary, homemade, and complete breakfasts. And in a magnificent setting, the village of Turenne, with its castle and beautiful rooftops.
The location is splendid and the room spacious. It would be ideal if the service and welcome from the manager were as good as they come. Unfortunately, we didn't feel very comfortable with the owner.
First of all, the so-called "gastronomic" meal doesn't live up to a menu billed at 50 euros.
The only thing that's gastronomic is the size of its portions. To top it all off, you're asked to add 10 euros if you want to try one of the local specialties, foie gras. (It's also in "economic crisis" portions.)
In short, breakfast could have made up for it, but here too, they ration the jam, bread, etc.
And sometimes all these disappointments are quickly forgotten when the welcome is warm and friendly, unfortunately, this is not the case here either.
Excellent welcome and refined cuisine.
It's difficult to park nearby given the structure of the village... a very beautiful residence with lots of charm.
