Cozy place with good coffee, the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is very friendly. Big thanks to Sergei who explained everything about the selection :)

Have I never written a review here? If you see something that isn't there, it's either been deleted or not written down at all. Anyway, this is a small cafe in Maison Balzac and a restaurant with a view in the 16th arrondissement. It's a good place to come during quiet times during the day on weekdays. Some of the drinks and desserts were not sold, and when I tried to order lemonade or citronade, they said there was nothing special and told me to order something else. So I ended up ordering a latte and a cookie, but there was only one cookie left, so I ate that too. Fortunately, the latte didn't spill and a tall blonde was in charge of paying and serving. The scenery was definitely nice, and the service and Wapa communication were excellent. Still, the outside air is nice enough to quietly study or read. Still, there seems to be a difference of opinion in terms of service. I didn't have any major problems, but I did spill a little milk or coffee. Of course, it wasn't a big spill, so I wiped it up with a tissue. + Please note that there are no outlets. A great place to relax or study. It's also disappointing that it's only open until 5:30. It seems to operate according to the maison's operating hours. Les gourmandes sont pas mal. Et la service est moyen parce qu'il n y avait pas assez de la carte disponible. Dommage mais le paysage est merveilleux avec la maison de balzac et un café/petit dessert. Je peux confirmer que l'ambiance harmoniale avec des pigeons est génial (pour moi) + un petit forêt de maison. Par contre dommage également qu'il n y a pas assez de prises électriques dispo pour étudier avec des ordinateurs. En tout cas, un latte glacé est aussi sympa.

Price: very expensive for an interior setting that is neither comfortable nor exceptional! It's nice if you can sit outside when the weather is nice because the garden is magnificent. The tables and benches inside are not very comfortable and we are constantly disturbed by the door opening, not a very pleasant setting for lunch. A small round quiche or a small pastry for €8 when you're not in a real cozy setting is a high price. Cuisine: correct but not exceptional either, knowing that even the waitress did not know how to describe all the pastries and was wrong about the tastes of some, I took a pastry because she told me it was a taste particular and that wasn't it. It would be enough to put up a few small signs. Service: at the counter but it lacks fluidity. Special mention for hot drinks.

A very good coffee in an idyllic setting! A pretty garden with a magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower and Balzac's house!

A place of relaxation to recharge your batteries in a wild garden which houses the Balzac museum and benches, tables, deck chairs, etc. to relax...with a place to eat on the go dishes made with natural products... Go there, it’s rewarding for a bucolic place. PS: free museum wifi available in the garden.

Very cute and friendly place hidden in a beautiful garden of Maison de Balzac. Excellent coffee which rather rare for Paris and magnificent bakery. Thanks to Sergey who develops this place from a simple cafe to the iconic place of interesting meetings, of work on-line, of inspiration…

Cappuccino is not good as you can understand it from the picture. But the garden is so beautiful so that’s okay. I’ll try americano next time.
