A true Caen institution! We've been going back for years without hesitation, and La Maison d'Italie never disappoints. The food is generous, flavorful, and authentic—their stuffed pasta and their generously topped pizzas are a treat every time. A must-visit in Caen for all lovers of real Italian cuisine!

I used to go there often when I was little, so many memories! Luigi is no longer with us, but we had a wonderful time. The staff are lovely and attentive, the food is delicious, La Dolce Vita, thank you so much!

Excellent fake Italian restaurant; the real Italian is always the one where they speak to you in Italian, or at least the menu is written—also—in Italian. The pizza is quite good, but almost everyone has learned to make pizzas well these days. It's the ingredients that are sometimes poorly organized and mixed together. The atmosphere is not overly elegant, the service is fairly quick. Prices are reasonable. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a good pizza. I can't say more, as I haven't tried anything else. The salads are also very good and plentiful.

Gibus Cafe

06/10/2026: Surprise menu, was super tasty. Would send friends and family here if they are in the area. The location is a bit further from the center, but definitely more than worth the walk.

Fleur de Sushi

04/10/2026: We discovered this restaurant thanks to the reviews, and we weren't disappointed. The homemade coleslaw and soup are a nice change and absolutely delicious! The sushi is fantastic, and the friendly staff is a real bonus. Our new go-to spot for sushi in Caen!
04/10/2026: The welcome and staff were friendly and efficient, especially considering the estimated wait time. The sushi was good; we had crispy honey and salmon, and we highly recommend it. The cocktails and the afternoon tea are also worth trying.
