La Maison du Douanier sur Lesparre-Medoc

For the return of spring, nice surprise for a re-opening of this wonderful restaurant with a beautiful panorama. The temperature was a little cool but the tasty dishes were there.

The place and the river view is amazing, however I still cant forget how disappointed I was with the food. It was cooked waaaay in advance and simply warmed up for us. There is no surprise they are closed now. Updated* - I'm sorry for rating the "room" in your restaurant. I have fixed this error. But I do not intend to correct my assessment, and I am not being defamatory whatsoever! I don't know how you cook now, but it was terrible in 2014 and I hope you've fixed it. You cant just warm up an already prepared meal and call yourself a good restaurant. I am sorry I have not written this review earlier. Your violent reaction to criticism suggests that apparently this is not the first time you have encountered it and you still have something to work on.

We liked the pleasant and welcoming service. The choice of wines is excellent and the menu well-crafted. We have quality and know-how on our plate, that’s a pleasure
