La Mangeoire sur Poitiers

This is our second visit with friends, and we're still amazed by the quality-to-quantity ratio offered at this price, in such a lovely spot in the heart of Poitiers. The service is excellent, we love this place, and we'll be back. The only slight downside is the problem with the answering machine. I called six times to try and reserve our table, but the message didn't go through. It's worth persevering, though. 😎

A very pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere. Unpretentious French and Italian dishes served in generous portions at a reasonable price. We enjoyed a tender butcher's cut of meat, prawns in a delicious sauce, and a truly excellent caponata!

We stopped for lunch on the terrace at this lovely restaurant! The dishes were delicious and very generous. The young, professional waiters took the time to chat with us. We certainly don't regret stopping at this excellent place.

This restaurant was a wonderful discovery, offering dishes that were as delicious as they were generous. I had the pleasure of enjoying kidneys of remarkable quality, while my wife savored an equally succulent grilled salmon. And what can I say about the fondant with its molten caramel center, except that it was pure bliss? We particularly appreciated the very warm welcome from the owner. The only downside was the unfriendly and completely unsmiling attitude of the waitress, which was quite regrettable.

Homemade food, Provençal beef, generous portions, warm welcome – when we walked in, we felt like we'd stepped back 50 years – the decor, very kitschy, the music from yesteryear – I highly recommend it 👍

Having been there three times while traveling to Poitiers, I have absolutely no regrets about this discovery. A real gem! The value for money is unbeatable, the portions are generous, and the sauces are truly delicious and 100% homemade.

We had a very pleasant time on the shaded terrace. Good food. Very generous portions. Relaxed atmosphere.
