La Mangoune sur Andelat

One small but very unpleasant point to mention. The waiter was very pleasant and gave us time to sit down before taking our order, which was nice. However, he had barely brought us the aperitif we had ordered when the kitchen staff immediately brought our main course. We didn't have time to enjoy our drinks, and since we hadn't had time to order anything else to accompany our meal, my husband asked the kitchen staff for a beer, which they brought him very rudely. We decided not to order dessert, which is a shame.

A trucker from the north, passing through the region. Passing through with my truck, I stopped for a meal on June 9, 2026, at "La Mangoune." A warm and welcoming restaurant, typical of the region. I have very fond memories of it. The meal was typical of the region; I appreciated its simplicity and quality. As a former restaurant chef, I greatly appreciate restaurants that use local and regional products. I recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Saint-Flour. I will definitely return to eat there again when I'm in the area to try another regional dish. I left a tip for the waitress for her professionalism and the friendly manner she showed to customers. Excellent value for money! In a warm and welcoming, typical local setting, we were served very quickly! As an added bonus, the waiter gave us great tips for exploring the surrounding area :) Thank you!

We had a wonderful meal, excellent food from start to finish. The homemade fries were fantastic 👍, the ice cream sundae was excellent, and the portion was generous – we were very satisfied. A nice bonus was the friendliness of the waitresses and the gentleman behind the bar. We know where to eat next time we're passing through on our motorcycles... or in our car 👍😁

Excellent service, very pleasant waitress, it's a shame the food gets cold too quickly, arriving almost hot on cold plates... Having hot plates would be nice, like in many other restaurants.

We had lunch there as a party of four on a Saturday. 🙂The fries were good quality. 😑The service was slow (despite a small number of customers, there were a lot of empty tables going back and forth). 😑We ordered two saucy dishes (quite well cooked) with local pasta (+€2.50 x 2 for two tablespoons of pasta...). 😑I also ordered a glass of wine that didn't live up to its name (I had to "bless" it with water).
