I was craving some sun, and I found it! A simple restaurant with a warm welcome. We had a very good meal: delicious couscous and an excellent dessert. We will happily return.

The tagine was good, but too sweet for my taste. On the other hand, the tea was undrinkable, nothing like the mint tea one expects. Not very impressed!

Very warm welcome 👍😁 We ordered two couscous dishes and a tagine. The portions were delicious and so generous that we couldn't finish them! It's a shame there was only three of us in the dining room. I highly recommend it! We'll be back, thank you!

The best couscous we've ever eaten. That was three years ago, and we're still talking about it today, which is why we're giving it this review: this couscous deserves 6 out of 5 stars!! With a warm welcome, unparalleled culinary pleasure, and extremely generous portions, you can go and eat there without the slightest hesitation.

Passing through Châtellerault, we stopped for lunch and we weren't disappointed. The manager was welcoming. The food was good and friendly: the couscous was excellent and the lamb was tender and melt-in-your-mouth, just as promised :)

La Marmite Berbère: a very good restaurant, very friendly welcome, perfect meal, very reasonable price. I highly recommend it. For 5 people: around one hundred euros including a bottle of wine.

19/03/2026: I came to this little restaurant because I'd heard good things about the food, and frankly, I really enjoyed it. Even though it's not very accessible for people with disabilities, they helped me get in and out. If you have reduced mobility, I recommend letting them know; they're very attentive and caring. Just be aware that the toilets are in the basement, so you'll need help getting there. But otherwise, the meal was good, and there wasn't much of a wait; everything is made fresh. Oh yes, the tiramisu had a strong alcohol flavor.
16/03/2026: Good restaurant, the pizzas and pasta are fresh and high quality. The only minor drawbacks are the rather small portion sizes and the excessively long wait time, especially if you're in the cellar without internet access, which can be difficult with children.

14/02/2026: We ate well but the service was lacking, although the waitresses were friendly, it lacked professionalism, too expensive nonetheless when you consider the food/service ratio.
08/02/2026: As someone who regularly visits good restaurants, I can confidently say that this one is among my top three in Châtellerault. But it's by far number one in terms of value for money. A very attractive wine list and a three-course menu at €37.90 mean that a meal for two (including aperitifs and a bottle of wine) comes in at around €100, while other restaurants offering similar fares are about 30 to 40% more expensive. Traditional yet refined cuisine—in short, an excellent bistronomic gem!
