15/05/2026: You thought you knew everything about asparagus because you'd eaten it so many times. Forget everything you thought you knew; here, they were absolutely meltingly tender and harmoniously paired with citrus and haddock. Add sweetbreads, a dish rarely found elsewhere, and you have a place well worth the detour. I also greatly enjoyed the excellent Grand Marnier soufflé. See you in a year, perhaps, during our travels.

26/04/2026: We were greeted by a very friendly waitress.
There were two of us, and we each ordered a drink. After a while, our drinks were taken away as soon as we finished them. The waiter asked us if we wanted another drink, and then we were asked to leave to free up the table. How shameful! I've never seen anything like it... They'll never see me again, not even for a drink, not even for a meal.
I do not recommend this place.

29/09/2025: Ideally located for exploring Châtellerault, La Gourmandine Hotel is a haven of peace. It's a beautiful place to stay, peaceful and in a unique setting. A special mention goes to the breakfast. A small drawback: a kettle in the room would be welcome, either for early morning breakfasts or evening herbal teas.

08/03/2026: The staff is lovely, the place is clean and cozy, everything is spotless.
However, the management is rather rigid; it's impossible to mix two flavors of granita, whereas this is possible in many other establishments, which is a real shame. A review of this policy would be both appreciated and wise.
Furthermore, the return of the salted caramel cookies would be fantastic; you were the only ones to offer them, and it's a real shame you removed them several years ago—they were delicious.

We ordered two couscous dishes and a tagine. The portions were delicious and so generous that we couldn't finish them! It's a shame there was only three of us in the dining room.
I highly recommend it! We'll be back, thank you!

On the other hand, the tea was undrinkable, nothing like the mint tea one expects. Not very impressed!

22/10/2025: A really cool pub. Unique decor, but super relaxed. The few beers I would have tried would have been great! Perfect for a relaxed evening with friends.
15/10/2025: Not being from Châtellerault, I highly recommend this bar/restaurant! The bartender and the waitress were incredibly kind, the kind of hospitality I've rarely experienced. The warm welcome allowed me to truly enjoy my work break. If you're passing by, stop in for a truly exceptional mental break.

31/01/2026: Three fewer dishes on the menu, the meal served cold, the fish almost raw, even though there were only four of us at the table. The dishes were served at different times: one person finished their meal while another was still waiting. The kitchen staff publicly reprimanded the waitress (in the open kitchen), which was disrespectful to both the employee and the other customers. We definitely won't be going back!
30/12/2025: Hello! The service, food, and friendliness were simply incredible, everything was perfect!
We had a wonderful 60th birthday celebration for my mother! La Coupole By la ferme, I say yes and highly recommend it!
Thank you again from the whole family!
We'll be back to play the piano too, hehe!

18/10/2025: At Dominique's and her boss's place, everything is genuine: the food, the smiles, the generosity. Homemade dishes, honest, unpretentious, served with a big heart. The authenticity we thought was lost is right there, on the table.
