The owner gave us a warm welcome, and the waitress' service was flawless. This was our first time in Châtellerault, and if we return, we will definitely choose this restaurant again.
The terrace is fantastic, and the tataki was divine. Our compliments to the chef; he truly delighted us.

04/10/2026: Increasingly disappointed with "Del Arte"! A loyal customer since the 2010s, and with a bit of Italian influence due to my work at FPF, I remember when this chain first opened in Châtellerault. The food is sloppy and tasteless, the pizzas are undercooked, the toppings are minimal, there's no more parmesan, no more olives—it's a far cry from the cuisine offered when the chain launched! And the prices... It's nowhere near the original atmosphere! Only the service remains excellent, but the staff is quickly overwhelmed, though still available! I always wonder why I come back when I'm in Châtel. Nostalgia, no doubt...

The owner is very kind, and the food, which is undoubtedly homemade, is simply excellent. The value for money is unbeatable; I highly recommend it.
01/10/2026: Traveling in an hour is possible! The smiles and shared cultures made for a truly enjoyable experience. I savored every bite of the meal. The prune and apricot tagine was a delight—beautifully presented and generous. The chef served us mint tea, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of sugar. For dessert, the gazelle horn pastry was fragrant and a perfect way to end the meal. I will gladly return to experience this warm welcome and savor the other dishes. Best wishes. Pomme

Good atmosphere, good food, parking very well organized. Can't name a single downside.
06/10/2026: The hostel that saved our lives during our move! The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room had the kitschy colors and decor we loved, but it was comfortable and clean. The toilet was outside the room, though. Breakfast was €6.50 (fresh croissant + bread + jam + coffee). I was being a pain because I'm athletic, and they gave me eggs 😂 They're truly lovely, come here. In the evening, the food was generous: €17 for the buffet (cold) + a homemade French dish (rabbit, beef liver, steak, andouillettes...) + dessert and wine or sparkling water. A great place to have a good laugh and watch "L'amour est dans le pré" (Love is in the Meadow) on Mondays at the table. Thank you!

29/09/2025: Ideally located for exploring Châtellerault, La Gourmandine Hotel is a haven of peace. It's a beautiful place to stay, peaceful and in a unique setting. A special mention goes to the breakfast. A small drawback: a kettle in the room would be welcome, either for early morning breakfasts or evening herbal teas.

16/09/2026: A warm welcome thanks to a smiling and, above all, very efficient team 🤩 The pizzas (cooked in a wood-fired oven) have a thin crust – tomato or cream base – and are generously topped 😋 The pasta bake is excellent!! It's with great pleasure that I regularly return to this charming restaurant with its manager who is as professional as he is friendly 😊
16/09/2026: Unfortunately, a rather disappointing experience.
With a name like La Dolce Vita, a menu heavily focused on Italian cuisine, and a 4.4 rating on Google, we were quite eager to try this restaurant.
On the plus side: friendly waitress and waiter. However, the wait was quite long before we were served.
The salmon tagliatelle: a small portion, a few slices of salmon on top, and a little cream at the bottom. As for the pizza of the week (cream, potatoes, goat cheese, chorizo, mozzarella), it was a huge disappointment: extremely thin crust, very little topping, and no potatoes at all.
After pointing it out, the pizza was taken away, and a new one arrived quickly… but almost identical, with just a few pieces of potato added on top.
Given the quality of the food served, we really wondered how much was homemade and how much came from processed ingredients, both for the pasta and the pizza. For a restaurant with an Italian identity, we expected something more refined.
We explained our disappointment to the waiter when clearing our table, but there was no real conversation afterward. The same thing happened at the till: the price was announced and a rather cold "have a nice day." We would have simply appreciated a few words after our comments.
It's a shame, because we've been to many Italian restaurants and this one, unfortunately, won't leave us with a very good memory.

11/10/2026: The restaurant itself remains the same, but yesterday there was a strong sewer smell that really made the meal unpleasant. The waitress told us that a repair was pending.
08/10/2026: Rarely disappointed... not tonight. The wait for our food was excessive, a good 30 minutes.
The chef completely forgot about us.
