The terrace is still as pleasant as ever, the service is perfect, and very respectful of the customers, but it's in the kitchen that the problem lies. There's a clear drop in quality compared to previous years. The rather sparse clientele, whereas the restaurant was always full in previous years, is undoubtedly the result. An effort is needed in the kitchen to restore the reputation.
The welcome is merely friendly. Smiles are rare and forced. On the plate, while the double Provençal may be worth a stop, neither the starter nor the dessert (a dry and meager tuna tataki, obviously prepared many hours beforehand, and a tiramisu that's Italian in name only) pleasantly surprised us.
While the prices aren't outrageous—we paid 38 euros—this menu seemed somewhat excessive to me.
Watching the staff busily clearing tables in the middle of the meal, at 8:45 in the middle of summer, didn't make for a pleasant experience either.
We had a truly excellent meal. The terrace was lovely and pleasant. We happened to be there during a lively evening with a lounge atmosphere (piano and singer), which added a special touch to our meal. Entertainment or not, I highly recommend the restaurant; it was absolutely delicious. There were four of us, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
A restaurant with a beautiful, shaded, and quiet terrace. A completely renovated interior. The cuisine is exquisite and well-prepared. A great place to go.
