This place completely stole our hearts – we even managed to get a reservation for 17 people! It’s a small restaurant, with nontouristy food very homemade, authentic, and full of experience. The waiter handled our large group amazingly well. He had a great system: he went through each dish one by one and then asked us to raise our hands at the end to choose. He explained every dish, what it was made of, and what it tasted like -amazing! The food was served very quickly and tasted absolutely delicious. They use organic ingredients and even products from their own garden! The flavor combinations were fantastic. We were absolutely thrilled.

A charming little house on Rue de la Guisiane. The cuisine is delicious and original, everything is homemade, organic, and locally sourced whenever possible, offering excellent value for money. The service is attentive. We had been wanting to try La Marotte for a while, we were delighted with our dinner, and we will gladly return.

This is the place to go for a meal in the area. Just a perfect place to go with friends or couples. Fantastic food with great service in a cosy restaurant. You do need to book as it is well know by local and others as the perfect place.

Tiny but cozy place. Gorgeous food, superb hospitality. The kitchen is open to the tables. Fresh, authentic ingredients and original dishes. Absolutely affordable. What more could you ask for?

We had a lovely last meal here with a group of friends before some left home after a great week of skiing! Recommended by our friend Kit back in Jersey! We were so glad we managed to get a table. Everyone loved every dish and it felt so cosy and lovely staff. We might be back again this week if we can!

La Marotte deserves every single star. Set in a charming old house in a picturesque village, dining here feels like being welcomed into someone’s home. The cosy dining room sits beside an open fireplace and kitchen, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere, with an additional dining space upstairs reached by wooden stairs. Jack, the owner, shows his attention to detail, from the handwritten menus to the locally sourced produce and the varied, beautifully executed dishes (vegetarian options available). The staff are friendly, warm, and genuine. Be sure to phone ahead to make a reservation, it’s well worth it.
