This brasserie, ideally located on the port, pleasantly surprised us, far from its tourist-trap image. The restaurant's large dining room is inviting, the atmosphere relaxed, the menu rather limited but showcasing local seafood, the staff friendly, the service quite efficient, and the prices reasonable. We ordered mussels and fries and fish and chips; both dishes were simple but tasty (the fish was particularly well-breaded, crispy without being greasy).

The setting is pleasant and the location is perfect for a relaxing time. The service was quick at the beginning of the meal, which was appreciated.
However, the mussels were overcooked. Furthermore, after a promising start, the service slowed considerably. We had ordered desserts and coffees at the end of our meal; after a long wait, we received the desserts but no coffee, and we ultimately decided to leave without them.
It's a shame, because with better service and more precise cooking, the experience could have been much more enjoyable.

We went to dinner yesterday at Brasserie de La Côte. The place is nice with a lovely sea view upstairs. The waiters are pleasant and attentive. We ordered oysters as a starter, mussels, and scallops. The food was good without being exceptional, but it did the job perfectly well for a pleasant evening. When we got home that evening, my partner had food poisoning and vomited several times. It was probably due to the mussels/oysters. When you eat seafood, these things happen. We called the restaurant this morning to politely inform them, but we were met with a rather aggressive response. The aim wasn't to blame us, but to keep other customers informed. A touch of disappointment, especially since we had a good dinner yesterday.
