La Matelote sur Belleville

Hello, we came to eat last night, it was a real treat! I had a Beaujolais salad, beef cheek in red wine sauce with homemade mousseline (boxer cheek, you know who I am 😅😅😅), tiramisu with a scoop of coffee ice cream. The meal from start to finish was a delight for the taste buds. The waitresses were very kind, smiling, and pleasant. We will definitely come back. See you soon. Marie.

We had dinner at La Matelotte last night and had a wonderful time. The dishes were very generous and absolutely delicious; we left delighted! The setting is simply perfect, warm and elegant, ideal for a lovely evening. A big thank you to Océane, who served us with such kindness. She was very pleasant, smiling, and approachable, and didn't hesitate to joke with us, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Top-notch service! We highly recommend it and will gladly return 😊

Excellent place. We were very well received, even though there were many of us due to the conscripts' weekend. The dishes were beautifully presented. It was very good, and the service was excellent. No waiting, everything flowed smoothly. There was nothing to complain about. Having a wonderful time without worrying about anything is becoming rare. Everything was perfect. Thank you for welcoming us so late, as I know it makes for very long days for all the staff. The establishment is very clean, which is a pleasure. It deserves to be highlighted. A big thank you to the whole team. Parking is easy right across the street; there are plenty of spaces. Don't hesitate to eat there; you shouldn't be disappointed. Just one small point: I think it's best to make a reservation.

The fried frog legs were not too oily and were fried just right, and the fried small fish were crispy and delicious. The sauteed sea bream was also delicious with a light scallop sauce, and the lemon tart for dessert was also excellent. The attentive service of the staff was also very good. It's located right off the highway, so it's easily accessible.

What a wonderful discovery! ... While staying in Beaujolais at the Château de Pizay, the hotel gave us a list of recommendations, including this restaurant open for lunch on Mondays. And we were very impressed! The phone reception was efficient, and we were quickly taken care of upon arrival. The frog leg and sweetbread menu was incredibly generous. The food was homemade and well-prepared. The restaurant was packed on a Monday lunchtime, which is understandable given the location and makes you want to return. The clientele was varied: tradespeople, retirees, couples. In short, as a restaurateur myself, I say bravo and go without hesitation! ... Sébastien
