On a week-long trip, we stopped by the shop for a snack and luckily received advice from Clémentine, who spoke perfect English, which greatly helped us with our choices. It's nice to meet French people who speak our language and understand it right away. Caen is very touristy, so I imagine it's not a luxury to have bilingual salespeople. Nevertheless, it's very much appreciated. And the snacks were delicious.
