It's a lovely hotel with so much history. The location was great and we could walk to everything in the walled city, as well as the local train station and bus stops. The TGV station was a short cab ride away, so it's very central. The breakfast was delicious each morning! We also enjoyed the courtyard, afternoon tea and a drink in the bar area in the evenings. All of the staff were very helpful, especially Anthony at the front desk. We're very happy we stayed at La Mirande while in Avignon!
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful—very vintage and artistic, with a subtle, pleasant fragrance throughout the room.
We booked a stay with breakfast included; the breakfast room is stunning, and the selection is generous and delicious.
All the staff were extremely polite and warm, always ready to help whenever I had any questions.
The location is also perfect, directly opposite the Papal Palace.
How we loved our stay at the beautifully elegant & well positioned hotel La Mirande. Our room was spacious & gorgeous; every public area exquisitely tasteful.
We had been looking forward to staying in the historical town of Avignon, it was great to be so close to the Palais des Papes, museums, art galleries & all the fantastic bistros in the winding side streets.
The staff were lovely, happy to chat. There’s even a cat who calls the property and gardens home.
It was a very special time, a highlight of our travels.
