A great place to enjoy mussels in Trouville. The portions are generous, the mussels are well-prepared, and the variety of recipes caters to all tastes. We had a wonderful time. We arrived around 8:00 PM without a reservation and were seated immediately. The waitress was very welcoming. The homemade mussels and fries were excellent. We highly recommend it and will definitely return.

A pleasant, friendly team that adapts to customers' wishes. They keep smiling despite the rudeness of disgruntled customers who don't understand that there isn't enough space for everyone… Excellent value for money! We will gladly return!

The welcome was very good, but the mussels marinière were tiny, with many empty shells in the pot and a lack of flavor. Looking at the plates of customers seated on the terrace of a nearby restaurant, the mussels were much larger. We regretted our choice... even though, I repeat, the welcome was perfect.

We had a wonderful time at this establishment. We came as a couple with our dog (a 30kg Staffordshire Bull Terrier) and received a very warm welcome, provided your dog is calm. Animals seem to be very welcome! The food is excellent and high quality, reasonably priced, and full of flavor. Highly recommended!

We came to eat on this avenue one evening in July and stopped at La Moulerie because of the positive reviews about their mussels. I must say, it's best to stick to mussels at this restaurant. They were very good. However, some of the other dishes were truly mediocre considering the price; the value for money was also poor (a ribeye steak and fries for €25, served pink instead of rare, not grilled at all as described on the menu, in short, undercooked). It's a shame because the waitresses were very friendly and the setting was beautiful.

11/08/2026: We had a delicious meal last Sunday. As usual, we asked beforehand how it works. First of all, you are supposed to get your own bread from the baker. Then you go and look around and discuss what you want with the fishmongers. The prices are listed in kg, so you can quickly calculate the cost. We had 12 oysters for 21 euros. Try getting that in the Netherlands. At least 3.50 euros apiece. Delicious! The other seafood is so fresh and tasty that it is definitely worth the money. When you look at the restaurants in the area around Chez Allain, the prices there are much higher. In short, we had a delicious lunch. By the way, the glasses of wine they serve are 15cl for 7 euros; at the average restaurant, this is 7 euros for 10cl. If you happen to be in the area on Sunday, go over to the market first and then have lunch at Chez Allain or one of its neighbors.
01/08/2026: Excellent!!! Top-notch staff. To improve the seafood platter eaten on-site, a few slices of bread with butter would be perfect! Otherwise, don't change a thing, the products are excellent.
