A first for me, all alone, and frankly, I wasn't disappointed at all. I was served quickly, and I never eat salad or juices and sauces, but I even mopped up my bread with the sauce.

Great restaurant, very welcoming and flexible staff. We were 150 students stuck in a gymnasium without food, and the restaurant welcomed us with open arms at 1:30 am and fed us, even though the kitchen closed at 10 pm.

Good food. The bistro atmosphere is pleasant. Smiles and friendliness are much appreciated. The portions are generous and delicious. The fondue is simply perfect. I recommend it. P.S.: If you're looking for the ornaments from one of the Christmas trees on the counter, ask the owner where they are!

Fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere is great, the welcome and service are friendly, welcoming, and unpretentious, just the way we like it. And the food is incredible, the meats are so good, the side dishes are top-notch. Bravo to the chef and the whole team!

For the eyes, the stomach, and the heart, it's a great pleasure to still find in 2025 an establishment that ticks all the boxes of catering and service and that is open for lunch and dinner, and I might add that this is becoming a rare commodity in this era! Long live La Parenthèse, I sincerely hope so 😊

15/02/2026: Well, first of all, thank you anyway for a table for Valentine's Day, as the entire restaurant was full. As for the service, frankly, it was far too slow, 45 minutes. We arrived before three other couples, and the waitress served regulars or acquaintances, which already sets the tone for the service. No aperitif, not a single nibble. The main course, the goat cheese salad was advertised as having croutons, but it was more like toasted bread. The basic cuisine was average. The dish listed on the menu was frozen, so the taste was mediocre. The pinch of salt on slightly overcooked meat was pointless. The vegetables weren't fresh, more like canned or frozen, not great at all, and I never saw any bread on the table. For a bill of €135, that stings. I'm really disappointed. I used to come here a few years ago, and it was a crêperie, and it was very good. Now, it's just okay, but it's alright in a pinch.

Hotel du Nord

13/01/2026: A truly excellent family-run establishment, just the way I like them. It's in the top 3 best restaurants in the Maurienne Valley, boasts a wine list worth exploring, and the food is superb – a truly high-quality restaurant. The hotel is ideally located and the staff are very friendly. 👍
22/09/2025: This place is a little gem! The stopover package is great: minimalist room but very comfortable bedding, balcony, thoughtful little touches. The evening meal was delicious and the breakfast just as much: Valérie is a perfect hostess and Philippe takes care of delighting our taste buds, can't wait to go back :)
