A very promising address on paper, with a pleasant location between our hotel and the cathedral, and especially a lovely terrace overlooking the small square. The restaurant's interior is also very well designed and welcoming. We started with a charcuterie and cheese platter to share. The products were good, although the bread portion seemed a bit meager: five small pieces for five people – we would have appreciated a bit more generosity. As for the main courses, however, we were very pleasantly surprised by the pizzas. My son and I each had one, and they were excellent, with a particularly light, well-made, and very enjoyable crust. My partner chose a tagliata, which was also very good; no complaints there. Our two daughters ordered the chicken from the children's menu, one with fries and the other with pasta. Unfortunately, this is where the service became more complicated. There seemed to be a mix-up when we ordered: the drinks order for the children's menu apparently triggered the order for their main courses, even though these were supposed to be held while we ate our starters. We overheard several exchanges about this between the dining room and the kitchen, and the atmosphere sometimes seemed quite tense. When the main courses finally arrived, our daughter's pasta was cold, probably because it had been waiting. It was sent back to the kitchen, but then we had to wait quite a while before it came back. More generally, the service seemed disorganized that evening. At a neighboring table, there was even a moment of confusion about a supposed departure without payment, even though the customers had paid their bills. As for us, the coffee we ordered along with the desserts took a very long time to arrive, as did the bill we asked for afterward. It's a real shame because there's a lot going for this place: a lovely setting, good ingredients, and above all, excellent pizzas. With better organized and more attentive service when a problem arises—we were particularly surprised that no compensation was offered for the cold pasta and the resulting wait—the experience could have been truly wonderful. Good Italian cuisine that we'll remember mainly for its pizzas, but the service could definitely be better coordinated.

Well done to the Passacaille team! It was packed this Saturday evening at Chartrestivales, the service was perfect, and the pizzas were excellent as usual! (In my opinion, the best in Chartres.) And thank you to Rodrigue for his kindness and smile.

Great experience at this restaurant. The pizzas are delicious, the desserts too, and the service is excellent. Friday and Saturday nights are packed, so you need to arrive early or wait for the second seating. The service is still very fast 👌🏻
