la pause gourmande sur Avignon

Bakery: 9 euros for two pastries (millefeuilles in particular) not fresh daily, it's expensive for what it is. Nevertheless, the bread and croissants are good.

An address to recommend, the cook is really talented, we had a great time. Ideal location on a beautiful little square a stone's throw from the Palais des Papes.

While visiting Avignon, we spotted the restaurant while passing by on the little train. Seduced by the dish of the day and its formula, we went there for lunch. There was then no more dish of the day, nor our second choice (eggplant gratin), nor our 3rd (burrata salad) or 4th... it was a lot. Certainly we arrived at 1:45 p.m. (still a good turnout during this summer period) and we did not have the information either on arrival, nor at installation, nor at the time of the cards but when taking the order!! !! The sign should have been removed. The server was quite nonchalant. The kitchens are small for a lot of cutlery which inevitably creates a wait. Fair prices, and accept restaurant vouchers and no minimum credit card with them.

This address was highly recommended to me by a colleague. The service is great and the servers are very friendly. The Fernand fougasse is a gem as is the biquette salad. To be tested without delay!
