La Pecherie sur Rouen

It's always difficult to go to a restaurant with three small children; you're always afraid of bothering anyone. Here, there's a room upstairs where the family was able to gather for my mother's 88th birthday without any risk to others, and we were lucky enough to have a very attentive, competent, and lovely waiter. A great place for the atmosphere, but also for the delicious and generous portions.

The seafood quality is truly remarkable: the oysters were exceptionally fresh and perfectly balanced in flavor, and the scallops were absolutely outstanding—cooked to perfection, delicate, and refined. The dessert was also delicious and well thought out, providing a wonderful ending to the meal without being overly heavy. Service deserves special mention. The entire team was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. Every interaction felt warm and well-timed, contributing greatly to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Finally, considering the quality of the ingredients, the precision of the cooking, and the level of service, the pricing is very reasonable. La Pêcherie offers excellent value for money and is a place I would happily return to and recommend without hesitation. Highly recommended for seafood lovers visiting Rouen.

Fantastic welcome, friendly staff, and excellent food! Delicious creamy soup, perfectly cooked, and the Hazelnut cake!! Wow! A feast for the eyes and the taste buds! • I returned three years later, and it was still just as delicious! Great flavor, and the team is always fantastic: a truly memorable experience!

I rediscovered La Pêcherie during a company end-of-year dinner. What a pleasure it was to spend an evening in a place like this! From the food and atmosphere to the service, everything was impeccable. I'll definitely be back.

The oysters were average and overall the experience was just okay. We had a reservation and arrived on time, but the restaurant was very busy and seemed a bit stretched. We were asked to go upstairs, where we had to wait for a table to free up and ended up sitting briefly at a table that hadn’t been cleared yet. The staff did not seem in the slightest bit happy to receive us and wanted to send us back downstairs. It actually felt like we were intruding. Once seated, service was fine but a little inconsistent. There was some confusion around drink orders (not knowing what a dry martini was), so we decided to keep it simple and just order oysters, which were decent. We had called ahead to confirm both the reservation and that the restaurant was dog-friendly. While they did allow dogs, the setup felt a bit rushed and not fully prepared given how busy it was and we did not feel welcome in the slightest. Overall, not a terrible experience, but it didn’t quite live up to expectations and certainly wouldn’t return.

I want to thank the owner of La Pecherie in Rouen--I believe his name was Stephan. We ate there twice in October. Both times the meals were fresh and delicious. I mentioned to him having had Sole Meuniere at a restaurant (which I will not name) in Arromamche. We had Sole there but it seemed to me like the fish had been frozen. When we returned the next night to La Pecherie, we were planning on getting one of his overflowing platters of lobster and shrimp which looked scrumptious; Stephan greeted us and remembering what I had told him the night before, he asked if he could show me something. Then he brought out and showed us a huge and beautiful sole and asked it we wanted his chef to cook it for us. It was fabulous and unforgettable! We will eat at La Pecherie whenever we are in Rouen. And we enjoyed his funny waiter also so much! Thank you, Stephan!

An excellent restaurant! The welcome is warm and attentive from the moment you arrive. The dishes are truly delicious, prepared with high-quality ingredients. You can taste the care that goes into each plate. The value for money is very good; you leave completely satisfied. An address I recommend without hesitation!

If you love seafood, this place is a must! A real treat, the freshness of the products and the icing on the cake is an unparalleled friendliness. The meal and the atmosphere of the owner and the servers are top notch. We will definitely be back.
