La Penela sur Paris

A lovely little and cozy tapas restaurant. Good selection of food and drinks, very friendly and competent staff. Good value for money.

This Galician restaurant in the center of Paris is a delightful discovery. You can try the famous tortilla de Betanzos (a popular Galician variation of the classic Spanish potato omelette, distinguished from the traditional tortilla by its almost entirely runny interior), Galician-style octopus, and Cazuela De Pulpo, Almejas Y Langostinos (sautéed octopus, clams, and prawns, served hot in a casserole dish and heavily sautéed with olive oil and garlic). The wine list includes a selection of Spanish and French labels. Very friendly and helpful service. Fair prices. We would love to return.

It was nice from all the points of view , the food was delicious and the personelle was even better , the calamari was already done in the first 3 minutes so that says a lot , and especially many thanks to Monsieur Abdel , he was making us feeling really welcome and nice , cozy

Honestly, it was a real treat. The octopus was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the Galician products were delicious both in the glass and on the plate. It brought back so many memories for me, having lived in Galicia. Thank you to Abdel for his warm welcome and kindness.

I had a great meal at this Spanish restaurant. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I’d definitely recommend it!!!

A cuisine devoid of vices or virtues. Not bad, but lacking in heart. Very salty. Attentive service, just the right amount, and a pleasant, family atmosphere.

One of the loveliest dining experiences I've had in a long time in Paris. The staff was so caring. I have trouble hearing and mentioned it in my reservation, and they sat us at a quiet spot and shut the music in that area just for me. It's a small detail but it made the whole difference, it made it possible for my partner and I to have a lovely evening that we can't get elsewhere. A bit thank you to everyone at La Penela ❤️ Oh. And the food and the wine were excellent. Of course. We had the couteaux (razor clams), the pulpo a la gallega and a slow cooked melt-in-your-mouth veal shank, with a bottle of Albariño white wine. Would absolutely do it all over again. Absolutely delicious! My only regret is that we weren't actually in Spain because we felt transported.

Good and quiet restaurant with pretty good food and nice atmosphere. Lovely little dinner here and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
