Arriving in Lagrasse somewhat by chance on Saturday, April 11th, we stumbled upon La Petite Maison à la Ville—and what a delightful surprise! Probably one of our best discoveries in the region, both for the warm welcome and the delicious food.
The place exudes conviviality: whether for coffee, lunch, dinner, or simply a drink, you immediately feel at ease. David, the owner, and the regulars welcome you as if you were part of the family, with smiles and good cheer.
We had lunch there before visiting the charming village and the abbey, located right next door. A truly wonderful experience, simple, authentic, and full of kindness—the kind of place we are happy to recommend and where we want to return.

We had a really lovely family lunch today. The cheesecake especially was incredible — honestly, probably the best one I’ve ever tried.
What did surprise me a bit was the attitude of the waiter who greeted us. I asked if it was possible to eat there, and he replied, “Of course you can, it’s a restaurant,” and the table next to us started laughing at me. It felt quite rude and definitely not the kind of service you expect.
We actually left and went to another place, but ended up coming back because the other restaurant was closed. In the end, the service wasn’t great, but the food was truly worth it.
