You shouldn't miss this gem, the place is a true kitchen magician! We fell for the mushroom/truffle and wine pairing menu and it’s a real killer! The service is very cheerful, with a touch of humor.
The atmosphere is relaxing, in an exceptional setting.
We go to the restaurant very often, and it is flawless, perfection. Well done and thank you to the chef and his team.
Ce fut une soirée magnifique et un éclatement des papilles du début à la fin du repas. Une belle découverte gustative et félicitations pour le chef. Les vins de Saint Mont, inconnus pour nous nous ont émerveillés et merci pour l’accueil.
We had an incredible meal here as part of a Gastronomique weekend package at Le Monastere. The restaurant itself is elegant and the table settings wonderfully curated with artisanal pottery and cutlery (I want to find that wedge of a butter knife for my home!) The meal is an experience with course after course of creativity and taste. We were introduced to St Mont wine by our server, which we enjoyed and paired nicely with the meal, as well as a couple local Armagnacs, which we're looking forward to exploring even more and were a wonderful way to cap off a perfect meal. I can't compare it to the Bistro (as we didn't eat there on our far too short of a stay) but La Table is definitely worth the splurge. I can't wait to come back when next in southwest France. I would definitely make a detour to eat (and stay at the monastery) again.
Nous avons été bluffés par ce restaurant.. il faudrait que le guide Michelin se bouge un peu pour venir le visiter, même s’il est un peu perdu car il mérite tres largement une étoile.. les saveurs sont subtiles.. les produits excellents plutôt haut de gamme.. c’est au sein d’un établissement charmant avec une très belle décoration.. le rapport qualité prix très bon.. nous y reviendrons..
