La Pibale sur Saint-Julien-En-Born

11/07/2026: My experience was disappointing. I went there for my birthday. It was a precious moment, and my partner was very happy to take me, which is why he got a little annoyed when, after I clearly stated that I was allergic to peppers, the waitress noted the information but didn't pass it on to the bar when we ordered our glass of champagne. As a result, another waitress brought us a glass with a small bowl of olives with peppers. You should be very careful, because having ordered the full menu for €36 and then adding extra dishes... The cuisine is refined and delicate, but I can't say the same for the food. I had a problem with my veal dish; the center of the cut was full of sinew, which can happen, I agree. I couldn't cut it, so I informed a waitress, who told me to take it back to the kitchen to be replaced, which seemed obvious. But then, to my surprise upon returning to the kitchen, the meat had been cut up and all the sinew removed, a third of it gone... I was left with nothing but two small pieces of meat on my plate, with a noticeable lack of sauce, nothing added... a dish that cost an extra €4. As for dessert, I ended up with my profiteroles and my coffee at the same time, which I ended up drinking cold. This is really disrespectful for a Master Restaurateur... They took us for tourists, but let me tell you, that's not the case. It's a real shame, no attention to detail... very disappointed considering the price. I'm not thanking you for the birthday meal, which was supposed to be amazing...

05/07/2026: What a wonderful discovery this lovely restaurant and its shaded terrace was! The menu was delicious: a sophisticated and original starter, perfectly cooked fish, and a fruit salad with basil. The ingredients were fresh, seasonal, and beautifully presented, and the service was friendly and efficient. Unbeatable value for money in the area. Highly recommended!
