La Plage sur Nice

Quality welcome, attentive service and delicious dishes. A special mention for the manager Mickaël who is certainly no stranger to such quality of service.

Solid burger and espresso, very friendly service, and being on the first floor, a bit more relaxed than on the shop floor.

The setting is pleasant thanks to the elevated terrace with a bird's eye view of the airport concourse. However, as for the food, I tried the "signature" sandwich for €15 and it was a big disappointment. Not really tasty. The bread wasn't fluffy. The filling was disappointing. The sandwich wasn't very generous. Plus, there's no table service. You have to pick up your orders directly at the bar.

Friendly and professional service. However, the waiters who wore torn t-shirts during service—you have to admit, it's pretty average considering the prices, which are...nice! A shame.

The interior is thoughtfully designed with a breezy, coastal charm that reflects the Côte d’Azur lifestyle – bright, airy, and inviting. Whether you're alone or with company, it's a cosy space that allows you to unwind while enjoying a view of the terminal buzz from a peaceful distance. The ambience certainly deserves praise: soft lighting, clean seating areas, and attentive, polite staff contribute to a generally enjoyable atmosphere. It’s a great spot to spend some time without the sense of rush that’s often typical in airport eateries. However, when it comes to the food, expectations should be tempered. While the menu presents itself attractively, the dishes served feel somewhat underwhelming. Much of what arrives at the table seems pre-prepared or frozen, quickly heated and assembled rather than freshly made. It’s not that the food is unpleasant or inedible – it’s perfectly fine for satisfying basic hunger – but it lacks the finesse and flavour one might hope for, particularly in a French setting. In short, it’s more functional than memorable. That said, if your priority is a calm, tastefully decorated space to sit, sip a drink, and recharge, La Plage does its job well. It’s a far cry from fast-food chaos and definitely a more refined option within the airport. Just don’t expect a gourmet experience – it’s more about comfort and convenience than culinary delight. Ideal for a quick bite in a relaxing environment before your journey, but not the place for a final indulgence in French cuisine.
