The people at the site are super friendly and happy, they treated us great, even though we spoke the regular language we understood each other perfectly. The location is 10 and the atmosphere is very good, it's a shame we couldn't stay longer.

The place can be very pleasant if we ignore the invasion of thousands of ephemeral butterflies which come to this terrace like a tornado over a quarter of an hour. A nice atmosphere with this Gypsy Jazz group. The dishes served are very good and well served, however, the service is lackluster, especially when we have a waitress who is more busy stroking her dog than taking care of us, as proof at the cash register there were only the drinks. and desserts (served by colleagues) and no dishes, starters or aperitifs noted, so sorry if I had memory lapses ;o) Thanks to her and her big dog for keeping her entertained. PS: she put the slate down for desserts without even saying that it was the tart of the day and we never saw her again

What a nice authentic French restaurant on the banks of the Dordogne, on historic grounds. Nice lunch with good local wine. Smooth and friendly service. Dancing for locals on Sunday afternoon. Highly recommended!

A Sunday….a tavern…a good meal…. A good bottle and a musette ball… what could be better for the end of the summer period! Great discovery on the banks of the Dordogne! Closing on September 29 so get there before otherwise it will be in 2025!

Beau panorama, jolie guinguette qui est le seul ouvert le dimanche soir. Viande au feu de bois mais un peu cher pour une guinguette. Bien ombragé au bord du pont, parking gratuit

Très beau endroit, une vue magnifique et un service impeccable. Nous avons été très bien reçu. Le repas était parfait. Bon rapport qualité prix On y reviendra et je conseille tout a fait cet endroit

Au Four de la Rive

23/02/2024: Passing through this beautiful region, it is mainly the opinions of the community which publishes opinions, which really help me find superb places to eat. I came across this one, on the banks of the Dordogne on the path which should lead me to the spectacle of the Battle of Castillon. A beautiful terrace in a tavern style, mismatched chairs, the Dordogne on the side, everything is there to have a good time and the icing on the cake was a little experimental music concert. The dishes are of very good quality, everything is homemade. We had a great time from start to finish, I enjoyed my evening so much that I didn't think about taking more photos. I simply savor this superb moment, with good wine, friends and music that transports you. Thanks to the team.
