Beautifully situated by the sea. Good breakfast. Reasonable room.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Mercure Hotel in Dieppe. The staff were excellent throughout our stay, always smiling and friendly – ​​thank you so much! We requested two room cleanings for seven days, and they were both done perfectly – thank you again! We dined and dined at the hotel bar several times, and thank you to them – it was always perfect. They always had a friendly chat and a smile. The menu was decent, more like snacks, but very tasty and generous portions. The New Year's Eve meal was perfect; we would definitely recommend it. Regarding the room, there was one small drawback: we were there in winter, so the lighting was quite dim, and as we read, the only lamps available were above the bed, which wasn't ideal. Ceiling lights would have been a welcome addition.

The service lived up to the stars, and the staff were very friendly. The carrot cake at breakfast was fantastic ;-)

Creaky bedding. Exceptional breakfast with a view.

We stayed for two nights (from December 30, 2025 to January 1, 2026). The hotel is advertised as 4-star but doesn't seem to meet the standard we're used to elsewhere. The room lacked: - a coffee machine - bathrobes and slippers Furthermore, the finishes and maintenance leave much to be desired, including: - worn/polished parquet flooring - detached toilet baseboards with paint stains - detached bathroom sink countertop edge - wall paneling gaps, exposing electrical wiring - a poorly cut and unsealed plasterboard panel above the entrance door. The only positive point is its proximity to the seafront and the city center, and the beautiful view from the breakfast room, but despite everything, it doesn't justify the price-quality ratio of a 4-star hotel.

We like Mercure hotels, but we were disappointed by some aspects. The bedroom floor was cold, there were limescale stains in the shower, the bedside lamp didn't work, the shelves fell open when the closet door was opened, there was no bathrobe, and the breakfast was just okay; they could have used more local products. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, the room had a sea view, and the breakfast room had a panoramic view. €274 per night seems a bit high considering the quality of the service.
