La P'tite Poule Rousse sur Doizieux

Honestly, I've never seen a restaurant with such great value for money. The charcuterie platter as a starter, the main course, then fresh and aged cheeses, and finally dessert—it was all so excellent, incredible!

We had a wonderful time with friends. The meal was delicious, generous, and homemade! The waitress, the chef, and the owners were all incredibly kind. We'll be back!

This place is absolutely fantastic! The welcome was more than perfect, and the staff were very pleasant. We started our meal with appetizers and a charcuterie platter, followed by a delicious roast chicken with dauphinoise potatoes. Next came the cheese course, with a platter filled with various cow's milk cheeses of varying strengths, as well as some very good soft cheeses. Finally, we had dessert—or rather, desserts, as we were treated to two: an apricot clafoutis and floating islands, both of which were divine! To finish, we had coffee. Honestly, the food is excellent; it's fresh, local produce, and the price is more than reasonable: €24 per person, or €96 for four people, not including appetizers. We'll definitely be back! 🙂

There were five of us, and it was a fantastic discovery. The food and dishes were high quality and served in generous portions. The value for money is unbeatable. Go there, you won't be disappointed!

What a fantastic find this farm inn is! The food is absolutely delicious, most of the products are made on-site or locally sourced, the welcome is incredibly friendly (you feel like you're visiting friends), and it's excellent value for money! We highly recommend it.

The room is noisy. Lots of flies are annoying, but it's the countryside, so please bear with us. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. Especially the desserts! You can ask for a vegetarian option, which is lovely.

Absolutely delightful restaurant in a charming location. The food is homemade using farm-fresh produce; the charcuterie is delicious, as is the main course (the potato gratin is excellent), and the homemade cheeses are to die for! Plus, the staff is very friendly; you feel right at home! Note that the drink prices are unbeatable (€14 for a bottle of Montbazillac). A must-try!

Fantastic welcome, delicious and generous dishes made with farm-fresh produce. Cottage cheese and hard cheeses, plus two desserts and coffee included. Excellent service. Very good value for money.
