La P'tite Sophie sur Gerardmer

Pleasant restaurant, very good New Year's meal but it lacked background music.

It's difficult to rate this restaurant. We went one evening when we were alone with a group. The food is excellent, even if the menu is rather limited.

We stayed at the Beaux Rivages and chose your establishment on the hotel's recommendation. The food was excellent, no complaints there. The grilled sea bass fillet was incredibly delicious, a perfectly executed recipe: kudos to the chef (we're in the culinary business ourselves). However, regarding the dessert, the molten chocolate cake was clearly undercooked. Even though this remark clearly didn't sit well with the waiter, who seemed reluctant to accept criticism, I stand by my statement. As a reminder, a molten chocolate cake should only be gooey in the center; in this case, the filling wasn't cooked at all. I've attached a photo of a perfectly cooked molten chocolate cake and the one we were served. At €12.50 for dessert, it's unacceptable to present a cake like that, especially since it became indigestible. A proper molten chocolate cake should stand on its own on a plate, without needing a ramekin. Finally, I must point out that I didn't appreciate the waiter's coldness. With 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry, we know how to recognize what is done correctly and what isn't.

While passing through Gerardmer, we discovered La P'tite Sophie. A truly wonderful culinary experience. The foie gras with the subtle touch of chocolate was pure bliss. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Bravo! We highly recommend it.

Cozy and well-decorated place, incredible cuisine: it combines simple dishes with little touches of spices and textures, which, honestly, make us salivate... to do and redo without moderation! Thank you to the cooks ❤️

We just left this restaurant, simply divine, we had a great time. We will come back with great pleasure.

Appreciable cuisine, friendly service but lack of attention, no finger bowl for the prawns or waste plate, white wine with the starters and red for the main course, served in the same glass. Too bad. Small details that make the difference and disappointment.
