La Recreation sur Les Arques

It is not very often that I praise a restaurant for exceptional food, but this one's close to the top of the list. The French Laundry in Ca. is at the top. My wife and I were on our very first trip to France and a friend who lives in France, recommended this restaurant. We were lucky and got reservations in advance. We started out with a delicious Muscat as an aperitif. I then ordered the lobster ravioli for my plat and chocolate mousse for desert. My wife ordered the pigeon for her plat and lemon tart for desert. Lunch was paired with a delicious Petites Merveilles white wine. Most restaurants in France have three courses (Entree - starter, Plat - main course and then of course, Desert). This meal was fantastic. You could tell that everything was prepared with pride and care. We took our time and savored every delicious bite. Yes, this place is a little out of the way, but it was worth every euro. Paris has it's fine dining spots, but if you're in the Bordeaux region, make it a point to stop here and enjoy an excellent meal.

You can go there without thinking, the cooks are truly at the top, the recipes are flamboyant and orgasmically divine, enough to excite your taste buds from the first drop of lobster bisque until the end of the meal, until the last drop of coffee. Taste-wise you don't get any better for miles around. The setting is superb and very charming, the service is also impeccable. Very strong strength to the team that has been running the restaurant for a long time, don't change anything 👏🏼👏🏼

Worth the journey to dine at this excellent venue. I look forward to returning.

Nous avons gouté les 2 menus. Très bonne cuisine: des produits de qualité, des gouts originaux, une équipe efficace et accueillante. On aurait apprécié une salle décorée avec plus de recherche et moins bruyante.

A moment of pleasure. The dishes are to be contemplated, tasted and savored. Refined and inventive cuisine too. To be recommended because a very nice address in the Lot. The team is as pleasant as it is smiling and friendly in addition to being efficient! Can't wait to go back...

Price quality of the menu ok. Really French. The atmosphere outside is nicer than inside.

Superb restaurant, excellent cuisine, the employees are very attentive, especially when it comes to allergies and offer you other alternatives. We went there on August 27 and are going back on September 4 with friends. My wife and I really loved it this evening.
