La Recreation Gourmande sur Villegenon

Excellent meal, refined and prepared with high-quality ingredients. The setting is unique: as the restaurant is in the old school, it uses vintage school furniture and posters.

A fantastic lunch today, just the way we like it! On the menu: an excellent homemade terrine, a tenderloin wrapped in shredded potatoes that was equally delicious, and to finish, profiteroles of the same high quality as everything else! Not to mention the black pudding meatball and the head cheese toast with our aperitif. The owner, his wife, and the waitress were all incredibly friendly in this setting reminiscent of a former school classroom! And all this for 17 euros! Definitely not to be missed!

Another superb dinner for two at this establishment. The food was very tasty and generous, the service very pleasant, in this former school. A place to recommend, as it's rare these days.

My partner and I were looking for a quiet yet authentic place to have a peaceful lunch, and we found it in this little village. It was a wonderful surprise, in an old village elementary school converted into a restaurant. The decor is simple yet elegant, with simple details that show how much care this place has put into it, like the fresh flowers at every table. The food is affordable, the portions are still generous, and the meal includes an entrée, main course, cheeses, and dessert for €20! The service is friendly and attentive, and the desserts, personally, stole my heart. I'm speechless. Highly recommended!

Excellent lunch. Quick service, friendly waitresses. The restaurant is located in the former village school of Villegenon. The classroom has been transformed into a dining room with school-style decor, including blackboards, posters, and a cast-iron stove. There's parking with a reserved space for people with reduced mobility. A small outdoor terrace features a unique fountain, but we couldn't try it because of the 35°C heat. Highly recommended.

Exceptional table at a very low price. A very fine table with exquisite dishes.

A wonderful place – delicious homemade food. I highly recommend it for a gourmet break!

Recommended by word of mouth. Not disappointed. Pleasant service. Aperitif served with delicious appetizers. Original cuisine for a country restaurant, very flavorful sauces. Highly recommended, we will definitely return with friends.

This school's conversion into a restaurant, maintaining the theme as a central focus, is a fantastic initiative! With his cuisine and decor, he graduated with honors! 👨‍🎓👩‍🎓
