La Ripaille sur Toulouse

Passing through Toulouse, I made a quick stop at this restaurant next to the hotel where I was staying. It's certainly very good for meat eaters... for vegetarians, it's good, but still a bit pricey for the portions and quality of the food. The dishes aren't particularly sophisticated. But this restaurant will fill you up and provide a tasty meal.

Before going to this restaurant, I read some negative reviews, and after eating, I felt compelled to write a review and response. This is something I rarely do, but I ate here truly, truly, truly. The sausage was delicious, excellent quality in my opinion, not from a cheap supermarket; the puree truly tasted like homemade. The wine complemented everything. Thank you. I can leave now, but I'll be back.

The food was decent but quite expensive for what it was, especially the desserts (8 euros for a slice of French toast made with brioche and industrial caramels 😩)

La Ripaille - Brasserie de la Gare, located near Toulouse train station, looked incredibly authentic! Although some dishes were sold out when we arrived at 8 pm. A delightful surprise near the train station! A delicious and high-value French dinner The restaurant is located on the first floor of the hotel, with a cozy atmosphere. The waitress was a very lovely young woman who spoke fluent English, making communication a breeze. We arrived at 8 pm, and although many popular dishes were sold out, the waitress patiently came over with a blackboard menu to explain what to order. 【Food Review】 I ordered the €28 evening set menu (appetizer + main course + dessert): Appetizer (Asparagus Bread/Flan d'asperges): The flavor was absolutely amazing, with a delicate texture—a must-try! Main Course (Duck Leg/Cuisses de canard): The skin was perfectly crispy, the meat tender and flavorful, and incredibly aromatic. Red wine: Only €4 a glass, yet the quality is excellent, offering exceptional value. Although the selection might be limited due to the late hour, the remaining dishes are still of extremely high quality, and the service is superb. Highly recommended! ​A hidden gem near the station!
