Very good, simple and pleasant address, always well received

An attractive menu based around specialties, a courteous and efficient welcome and service, an attractive quality-price ratio with copious dishes, all in a room with elaborate and careful decoration. A restaurant to discover when passing through Nancy. A great experience!

We had to have dinner early (6:15 p.m.) and were very happy that it was already open. Reception and service very friendly. Large menu (few dishes, but in many variations), food very good, Lasagne Forrestière super tasty. Café Gourmand too. The only minus: There are no starters (except a small salad).

We ate with family, the service is impeccable, the smiling servers are very pleasant. The room, even when full, is not noisy at all unlike some restaurants where you can't hear each other. The dishes are very generous and delicious; we tried the lasagna. We asked for more cream for a swallowing problem and attention was paid. There are plenty of options for vegetarians. The desserts are also very generous.

A fast and efficient service, with a very friendly team. The dishes are very good and lots of diversification.

Always very good and very welcome

Is Wednesday lunchtime a peak time or was there a problem with the teams on duty on March 27? In any case the wait was long to order (20 mins) then to get the dishes (almost 30 mins), after calling out to the waitress who had placed us (table of 2) to ensure that we had not been forgotten. Then to clear the dishes and ask for dessert we had to look for another waitress after 15 minutes of waiting who told us that the coffees would be offered, but we still had to ask for them afterwards (my fault, I should have asked for them with dessert) ... In the end 1h40 for this lunch, you don't have to be in a hurry or we were unlucky that day. For the dishes, well presented but disappointed by the ham gorgonzola lasagna which was too flat, I appreciated the lemon mascarpone dessert better (but too many speculoos chips on top), my partner's dish was the salmon pasta, ok but the pasta is quite thick, you have to like it. The waitresses are very correct despite the service problems. If I come back to Nancy I will test again to see if the service has improved or if there are fewer people, and I will instead take the standard lasagna which I hope is thicker.

The quality of the dishes is excellent, the staff quiet and friendly, fast service and very reasonable price compared to the quality of the restaurant. I couldn't say anything negative, everything is perfect! Go for it without hesitation!!! PS: bonus point for the caramel panacotta 🤩
