Expérience parfaite pour compléter la visite du village médiéval et du château. Laissez-vous prendre au jeu, on vous guidera avec bienveillance : 3 menus différents qui comprennent les boissons, la possibilité de se déguiser le temps d’une photo ou du repas, et une salle magnifique qui vous emmène hors du temps. Tout est très bon, mais cela peut surprendre les personnes un peu compliquées ou fermées à de nouvelles expériences.

Location and unique in France. An authentic 14 century inn. Bravo to Dame Gertrude who brilliantly revives medieval cuisine. A pure joy for the taste buds.

Great experience!! Restaurant with a magnificent room (from the Château de Villerouge Thermenes) The concept is great... possibility of dressing up... medieval cuisine... service on a trolley... interesting and copious menu (you have to love spices like cinnamon, cumin... present from aperitif to dessert) A good moment !!!

Located within the Villerouge medieval castle this restaurant offers guests the experience of eating medieval style. Costumes are provided and as utensils only a knife and spoon are used. Pleasant service, the weak point is the food itself which varies from acceptable to poor.

Le Croque Lutin

02/09/2024: Atypical as a creperie “restaurant” by the way. The person who holds it is an artist, in any case he has all the codes. It’s original, it’s a change from the creperies we usually go to. Take a detour if you are going to visit the castle of VillerougeTermes
29/08/2024: Andábamos desesperados buscando un sitio en el que comer ya que, como buenos españoles, no estamos acostumbrados al horario de comidas francés, y dimos con esta pequeña crepería. Es un lugar pequeño pero muy acogedor, y lo mejor son los dueños, que se esforzaron mucho por comunicarse con nosotros y sacamos conversaciones muy interesantes y divertidas. Las creps estaban muy buenas, tanto saladas como dulces, hechas con productos sanos y frescos y pudimos ver cómo las preparaban ya que la cocina estaba en el mismo espacio que nuestra mesa.

12/06/2024: We had lunch here on a Thursday. (Our first choice, the nearby Le Croque Lutin, was closed nor does it seem to be open at all.) There is a large seating area outside the restaurant under a tree with a great view of the chateau, but it was closed due to the chilly weather. Everyone was eating upstairs in a smaller dining area which was nearly full with French customers. The menu is in French and no English is spoken. We appeared to be the only non-French tourists there. Still, service was fast and friendly. The restaurant has an upscale feel and specializes in French small portion tapas. Only a few were vegetarian but they were delicious. Despite the upscale feel to the restaurant, prices are normal. We were happy this restaurant was open and we enjoyed our lunch here. We recommend it if you are in the area.
