La Roue sur Cabrerets

Fantastic, both the accommodation and the restaurant. My son and I stayed for two days and opted for full board in a dormitory room. It was spotless and very comfortable (air conditioning, a large kitchen, a fridge, a great coffee maker, etc.). We also had the opportunity to try the set menu, which featured refined and excellent cuisine at a really great price! So I highly recommend taking the time to savor your meal on the terrace in the shade of the plane trees, enjoying the wonderful atmosphere and the friendly service from the staff in the kitchen.

Nice restaurant, good food, reasonable prices

What a shame! Very pleasant place, friendly staff, good food. At the register, a waitress prepared an ice cream sundae in front of us. She licked her fingers after putting a scoop of ice cream in the sundae and continued adding apple slices, tearing the apricot into wedges and pushing them into the ice cream. All this with very questionable fingernails. Bon appétit to whoever was served... maybe we were served first!

✨ A truly wonderful discovery in Cabrerets! We had the pleasure of dining at La Roue last night, and quite simply… it was flawless. We chose the set menu, and from the appetizer to the dessert, each course was a real treat: fresh ingredients, flavorful and generous cuisine, prepared with great care. Special mention goes to the wine recommendations: we chose a bottle that perfectly complemented our meal and enhanced each dish. A very welcome touch: insect netting is in place, making the meal even more enjoyable, especially in summer. You can feel the genuine passion behind every detail, both in the food and the service. A huge thank you to the entire team for this delicious and enjoyable experience. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

My first meal at La Roue in a very long time, and it was my birthday too. A first mistake during the aperitif (ice tea instead of rum in the Mai Tai), which can happen. And a second problem: the absence of potatoes in the lamb dish (set at 9 am for €23.50) (despite being listed on the menu). Pointing out these two issues was not appreciated, and we were simply ignored. No apologies (except during the aperitif), no gesture, no kind words from the staff as we left... truly disappointing for a meal costing almost €100. Perhaps they mistook us for August tourists?

We visited in July 2026. The set menu with starter, main course, and dessert was under €20! The service was excellent, with thoughtful preparation and presentation. Innovative cuisine with sophisticated flavors. Refreshing and original mocktails. Plus, the ingredients are fresh and local, a valuable ethical choice these days. All the staff are pleasant and friendly. The shaded terrace is divine during the hottest days. I honestly can't find a single negative thing to say... I've tried, tried, but no, everything is perfect. Even the restrooms are clean. 👍
