La Route du Sel sur Loix

Fantastic experience! The crepes are divine, as are the tartare and fish. The staff are incredibly attentive and efficient, and the location is charming. A must-visit in Loix.

We received a very warm welcome despite the restaurant being busy. All our dishes were delicious and exactly as described on the menu. Good value for money. Kudos to the young women who served us and to the excellent service coordination orchestrated by the dynamic owner.

Food was good all in all. The staff was also friendly. But the boss of the staff is very unfriendly and military like. We felt bad for the waitresses who did their job good. Felt like a very toxic work environment. By the looks of the other guests, you could see that we weren’t the only ones realizing it.

Food is ok compared to the lady (boss?) who guides the other waitresses. Very unfriendly and always hitting on the waitresses. For me they did the work top! They deserve more recognition. Also, the lady boss asked us for water, she gave us of course a paid bottle instead of a carafe. Anyways, the food was fine.

Like everything in Loix, this place feels authentic. It is always packed for lunch and most telling of all, packed with locals rather than tourists which gives it a great vibe. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table of four and the waiting got longer after that. Our table was in the far corner of the outside section and it felt like we got forgotten by the staff, who were not the most polite. Our main course took a long time to arrive and the portions were not very big. They also forgot the extra portion of frites that we had ordered, so we had to ask for them again. We then had another really long wait for our desserts which again were underwhelming. The Clown Crepe was a real let-down, it had clearly been left out too long as the cream was melted and it lacked any kind of presentation. All in all, it took us two hours to get lunch, arriving at 13:00 and leaving at 15:00. If you have a lazy day, give this place a try but not somewhere to go for a quick bite. Definitely the Ile De Re pace in full effect.

Great! The owner is fantastic, the team is dynamic, and the food is delicious. We were seen, consulted, and served quickly. It's just a shame that there's only half a sausage in the galette saucisse (sausage galette) and only one toilet stall for the entire restaurant (which creates a queue at times). We'll gladly return.

Very friendly service, a little slow but it was very busy. Luckily we arrived early. The galettes were good 👍

An excellent place to enjoy delicious crepes and mussels and fries. Everything is homemade in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
