La Sarrasine sur Nogent-Le-Rotrou

So if you're looking for a hidden gem, look no further! We were initially surprised by the prices of the menus displayed outside... in the heart of Paris, no less! We were first tempted by a crêpe in the afternoon: salted caramel for me (and the real deal, please!) and apple cinnamon for Mr. J, with real pieces of apple, not applesauce or canned apples! No, no, ladies and gentlemen! That evening, still in Paris, the desire to discover this restaurant was nagging at us, and at those prices... we gave in. And what a wonderful discovery it was! The savory buckwheat crepes (American and British) are fantastic. Not to mention the truly traditional onion soup! Absolutely divine, full of Gruyère cheese, full of onions, not at all watery. I'm almost jealous because even mine, I must admit, isn't as exquisite. The dessert, crêpes for us, was the icing on the cake, even though we didn't need them anymore, our stomachs were more than full. In short, it's fantastic, it's clean (tables and chairs aren't sticky, not a speck of dust on the flowers), it's delicious, it's inexpensive, and the owner is incredibly friendly and has an amazing smile! Finally, a real shopkeeper! Thank you for this impromptu discovery, which is definitely worth a visit! The only downside, I'd say, is the restrooms, but hey, you don't eat in them, do you? Otherwise, perfect, we'll be back! Go for it!

It's an excellent crêperie. The food is delicious, and they're open all day. The onion soup is incredible, and the galettes and crêpes are especially good. I'm already dreaming of going back. A huge thank you also for the service. Everyone was so kind and helpful.

The service is excellent, the best one I've seen in Paris touristy areas by far. The crepes are great, but the gourmet meal if brilliant. Escargot, duck, crepe is a winning combination. The salt crepes are great as well, very good quality and done on the spot
