La Saulire sur Saint-Bon-Tarentaise

Good value for money. I will be back.

Dining at La Saulire has been the high point of my trip. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was quite yummy too.

Probably the best dining experience in our trip to courchevel. The must try is the chicken and the apple pie.

We had a very good meal, but the service needs improvement. The staff were friendly but not at all professional. The tablecloth was stained when we arrived. Our amuse-bouches were removed even though we hadn't finished our aperitif and still had breadsticks and spread left, without us being asked if we wanted to finish them. The wine was automatically presented to the man at the table, even though he hadn't chosen it. Furthermore, the wine list was placed directly in the direction he would read. The waitress didn't know the menu and asked us to show her each dish we chose... In short, a mixed review. It's fortunate that the kitchen staff made up for the poor service of the front-of-house team.

Wow! What a treat to dine here. We were recommended by a local in town to dine here since it is a local staple owned by a very sweet couple. The menu is extremely truffle forward, rich, and delicious. I had seen the pigeon online and wanted to try it but admittedly was a little nervous since pigeon is not a typical dish I have. This pigeon might be one of the most unexpected and exceptional dishes ever! It was prepared deboned and wrapped in truffle and tasted like a tender prime cut of fillet. Other menu highlights included the fresh oysters they are shucking with an extremely interesting and yummy flavor, the crispy gnocchi, and the black truffle risotto cannot be missed.
