La Sellerie des Hippodromes d’Enghien sur Soisy-Sous-Montmorency

A pleasant place to explore, the fun aspect of visiting a horse racing track where our horse friends fully engage. We can wait for a departure from Trot thanks to on-site catering. The racecourse is involved in several events throughout the year which arouse the enthusiasm of some. 😏

Visiting the Hippodrome for the “International Fireworks Festival” this September 7, 2024. I had already come a few years ago, and we had brought the necessary equipment to sit comfortably in the stands (folding chairs). First observation: many more people than at the time. Result: 2 hours to come from Herblay (including 1h30 to enter the car park) and 45 minutes to leave after the show... A few food trucks, but limited choice, and very "limited" quality despite the Burger/Frittes without drinks at €15... (the upper dome of which was cold!). 3€ for a small bottle of Evian I can understand that merchants are there to earn a living, and I have no problem buying quality food that is worth the price paid. But Organizers should demand a minimum of quality from the subcontractors with whom they collaborate... Result: we will not come back next year. Maybe in a few years, and bringing our dinner. As for the show: rather disappointed. We are at a "turning point" where fireworks risk losing their appeal when they are not complemented by a drone show (those who saw the Effel Tower fireworks on July 14, 2024 will understand what I mean). A fireworks display without a drone is difficult to control artistically, a drone show without fireworks is fun, but quickly boring, especially if the artistic cohesion with the music is not well synchronized. The 2 specialties, together, seem perfectly coherent to me to combine artistically, via music and tempo. This is the future of high-level pyrothenics shows.

Beautiful trotting horses, we can see them in their boxes and on the race track. the site needs a refresh and more entertainment. (visit in August, few people). Transilien H, 20 minutes from Gare du Nord, Enghien racecourse stop Soisy ss montmorency.

Very nice free horse race in the summer but give yourself a limit if you bet otherwise you will have to beg
