La Sonnaille sur Jausiers

30/09/2023: About 20km from Barcelonnette and almost 2000m above sea level on the road to the Col de Restefond, this authentic restaurant is pure joy. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. You can see herds of sheep moving through the mountain pastures, and a playful river meandering through the meadow. For an affordable price, the dishes are generous and prepared on the spot using excellent local products: cold cuts, cheeses, meats all served on very appetizing varied platters. The country lamb chops are a real treat. We had the pleasure of going there outside of the rush in August, welcomed by warm and friendly staff, but to be sure of having a table it is better to reserve. This is a place that calls us to return, which we will certainly do as soon as the sunny days return for our greatest pleasure.
