La Soufflerie sur Angers

Passing through Angers before heading back to Paris, we tried La Soufflerie to discover the concept. The idea of ​​a soufflé is original and a welcome change from traditional restaurants. We ordered a Savoyard soufflé, a ham and cheese soufflé, a salmon and spinach galette, and two sweet strawberry soufflés. Honestly, it wasn't bad, but we left rather disappointed. Perhaps I'm not a big fan of soufflés, but overall we felt they lacked a bit of flavor and depth. We were expecting something more indulgent and with more pronounced flavors. The desserts were decent too, but nothing memorable. In the end, nearly €70 for three people seemed quite expensive considering the experience. It's a shame, because the concept really had potential.

We arrived at 1 p.m. on a Friday during a bank holiday weekend, having made a reservation in advance. It was clearly a busy period, but luckily a second waitress arrived to help out at the same time as us. We waited almost an hour between our arrival and the arrival of our meal. Despite the difficulties, the staff remained friendly, and we enjoyed our meal (my dessert soufflé was a little runny, but nothing serious).

It was a discovery, one my father took us to 30 years after his first visit. The concept is fantastic, the soufflés are visually stunning, delicious, served quickly, and all at the same time! I highly recommend going to support this institution!

A warm and welcoming place, and a real discovery with its soufflé-based menu. They are excellent, generous portions, and served with a smile. We had a very pleasant time and will definitely recommend it to our friends.

I had a very pleasant time at this restaurant. The concept is very original, with homemade cuisine and a specialty of soufflés. It's excellent! The staff is very attentive to its customers. I recommend this restaurant and I will gladly return.

It was my first time eating soufflés, and honestly, I was expecting something else. It was really heavy (but I wasn't completely full), and the taste of the whipped egg whites overpowered everything else. So I couldn't say if it was bad or just not to my taste. 😅 In any case, the concept is original.

Very good, well-prepared, and the waitress was fantastic! It makes you want to make soufflés at home. For big eaters, the portion might be a little small, but it leaves room for dessert! A lovely experience.
