La strada sur La Reole

Nice setting, great 80s background music. Service could be better. As for the food... two calzones, too many onions, the bottom crust undercooked, and in one pizza, the egg was completely raw. I pointed this out, and the cook replied that that's how they serve the pizza. I asked for a carafe of cold water, and I'm still waiting. When it came time to pay, they asked if everything was alright. I said not really, then explained why, and they replied, "Well, it's not a problem since we put the pizza back in the oven, everything's fine..." It was a bit cheeky and flippant. Up until then, we had always been happy with the place, but we left disappointed 😞 and we live in La Réole. What a shame.

The food is excellent, but the service lacks a bit of humor.

I had dinner at La Strada during my stop in La Réole and was very satisfied. The pizza was delicious, with a well-made dough and tasty ingredients. The only detail is that if it had been a little bigger, it would have been perfect. However, the quality was excellent and I enjoyed it a lot. The price seemed reasonable and in line with what they offer. The service was correct and pleasant, with efficient attention throughout the dinner. A good option to enjoy a good pizza at La Réole after a day of driving.

Friendly staff, pizzas always very good. No complaints about the service. We must support the restaurants in this small village. 🙂

Passing through the area, I was delighted to have lunch there, with remarkable value for money: €16.50 for the set lunch menu. - Basque pâté with plenty of gherkins - A perfectly cooked pork chop of about 300g with excellent new potatoes - Strawberries with a wonderfully creamy Chantilly cream (not from a supermarket can). Highly recommended. Looking forward to returning! 👍🏻
