La Table Chaude sur Schiltigheim

We went there this week and it was a fabulous discovery. It's a small, family-run restaurant, and we loved the decor: you feel completely immersed in another world for the duration of your meal. The waiter was incredibly kind—I really want to emphasize that, as it's rare these days. As for the food, we opted for the grilled meats and had absolutely no regrets. I can't even begin to describe the flavors of the perfectly marinated meat. The dish arrived piping hot! We give it a 20/20 and we'll definitely be back! Thanks again to the chef and the warm welcome!

A truly wonderful discovery! The food is delicious, generous, and bursting with flavor. I particularly appreciated the intentionally short menu: it's often a sign of cuisine made with fresh ingredients, and here, that's certainly the case. The owner's hospitality deserves special mention. The welcome is warm and genuine, and the service is impeccable. Another plus: several vegetarian options are available, making it easy for everyone to find something they love. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to discover authentic cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

This is our third or fourth visit to this restaurant. The food is excellent, with original flavors (don't let the name fool you: it's 100% Afghan cuisine), and the owner is very friendly. The menu is short, which is generally a sign of fresh ingredients. We spent almost €50 per person, but that's because we ordered a starter, main course, and dessert, plus an aperitif. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, so much so that we each left with a container to enjoy again at home with our leftovers.

In every way, this experience was like a journey... the atmosphere is captivating; I was transported to faraway lands simply by crossing the threshold. The dishes are exquisite and beautifully presented, not to mention the incredibly attentive service (calm, kind, and helpful—perfect for relaxing). The music perfectly complements this delightful sense of discovery, and the ambient fragrances only enhance the experience. I can't wait to return!

I regularly order vegetarian Afghan mantous from them via a delivery service. They're delicious; flavors I've never experienced before... Truly delicious food!
