Small, simple hotel, small but comfortable room. Excellent dinner. Lovely welcome, reasonable price.

Great hotel / restaurant in a quiet location. We stayed here for one night, but what a great place this is. Location / experience / friendly and helpful, and then the restaurant. It makes up for everything in terms of French cuisine (the chef deserves a big compliment). The hotel is neat and our room was clean and well-maintained. The French flair of the hotel simply makes it. The hotel is getting on in years, but that just makes it. The look and atmosphere are just right. The staff and owner speak a little bit of English but do their utmost (and you don't see that often in France) to assist you. And oh yes: House cat Sweety is actually the boss 😁

A wonderful discovery at the Auberge de Lugos! The service is exceptionally friendly, warm, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The traditional Landes cuisine is a true delight: flavorful, generous dishes prepared with high-quality ingredients. You can taste the care put into each plate, both in the flavors and the portions, which are more than ample. A welcoming place where you feel comfortable and eat very well—I highly recommend it!

An excellent place to discover in the Lugos region, located south of Bordeaux and near the Arcachon Basin. Chef Vincent Perez will surprise you with his cuisine showcasing local produce. His dishes are flavorful, refined, and beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed the "Flavors & Pleasures" menus, which truly live up to their name. Breakfast is generous, with a selection of pastries, bread and jams, cheeses and cold cuts, accompanied by coffee and orange juice. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The various spaces offer a convivial atmosphere, somewhere between an inn and a bistro, both warm and relaxing. The dining room, with its exposed ceiling beams and tables set with white tablecloths, adds a great deal of charm to the whole place. We also stayed overnight. The room was clean and comfortable. One small point for improvement: an extra sleeping bag or blanket would be appreciated in April. Beautiful terrace under the plane trees. Free parking available.

The cuisine was far, far above average—delicious, indulgent, flavorful, and original—featuring top-quality ingredients prepared with exquisite skill. While unassuming, it's well worth the detour and the trip. Come and experience it; you won't be disappointed, unless you're into glitz and glamour.
