We had a delicious lunch. Very impressive that Chef does it all— greeting, taking orders, serving, and clearing. We had the four-course menu and loved every bite. Unfortunately, we will not return. When I booked our reservation, I mentioned I could not eat gluten. When we arrived and read the menu in French and English, it stated to share allergies/food intolerances, the chef also asked us. Each time I repeated that I cannot eat gluten and he said no problem. I confidently ate everything, including the delicious grain that "wasn’t risotto but was like risotto"….. It turns out it was spelt. In the US, spelt is not gf. The local variety he served is considered "nearly" gluten-free (“a very old variety in Villars that is .001% gluten”). Well, his decision to determine how much gluten I could safely consume was not a good one, it was too much for me. Celiacs and others with gluten intolerance, be warned.

Unique surprise menu. Small portions but sufficient.

We had a perfect lunch as the only guests of La Table de Pablo. Perhaps the absence of others made it a little lonely, but the excellent cuisine soon made us forget. Outstanding cuisine from a single chef. Highly recommended

First gastronomic experience for the children, they were delighted and so were the parents. The concept is very interesting, to do if visiting the region Very nice wine list from the region at affordable prices.

Our second time at this restaurant. It's still so good. I just have one problem with chocolate desserts, which I always find a little too compact and not light enough. All the other dishes were absolutely delicious! Downside also on the atmosphere, we always feel a little embarrassment and discomfort when we try to laugh, lighten the mood or have a discussion with the chef..

First of all be aware there is no menu. You take what you are given, either meat or fish in 3, 4 or 5 courses. 4 courses currently set at €45/head plus wine. In our case the main course was lamb which was delicious but small portion. The other courses were good, but far from delicious and I would say the same for the wine. No choice - red or white. Good but not a domain you would wish to remember. We were there on a Tuesday in August and we were the only guests. Perhaps a telling indicator at the height of summer? The proprietor/chef has a self inflated view of his culinary expertise and lacks any charm refusing point blank to even try and understand one word of English. Luckily three of us were reasonably fluent in French. So if you are after an overpriced so called gourmet meal then give it a go. Personally I think you are better off in a family run bistro. It would definitely have more atmosphere and be more fun.
