We spent a night in a lovely suite at the Hotel Edgar, which is well located in the center of Saint-Brieuc, yet quiet. We appreciated the thoughtful touch for our little Yorkie, a basket and food bowl.

Excellent restaurant. Very pleasant service. A great find. It's a shame it's not possible to leave a tip when paying by credit card.

Reservation at La Table d'Edgar restaurant The dishes are delicious and beautifully presented, worthy of a Michelin star. The only downside is that the menu doesn't change very often. Highly recommended.

A very nice hotel, clean, pretty, comfortable and pleasant. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing.

A wonderful memory! For my second stay at the Hotel Edgar, I'm delighted to see that not only is the establishment still of high quality, but many of the services have also improved significantly! The reception staff were very attentive, asking if I wanted to use the spa (5 Mondes is a resounding yes!). I had already booked a table, as the restaurant is renowned and recommended by Michelin (among others). The room was worthy of a 5-star boutique hotel, with tasteful, elegant decor and impeccable cleanliness. A small change since my last stay: the in-room tea was Breton and delicious, and the capsule coffee was also Breton. Breakfast was perfect, with a wide selection of local products, homemade cakes (a special mention for the chocolate fondant), gravlax salmon, Breton cheeses and yogurts—again, flawless, and the staff were incredibly attentive. The Edgar massage (Californian) was pure bliss and the perfect ending to my second stay in Brittany. I will definitely be back!

Everything was great, the receptionist was fantastic, and the room was beautiful—just a pair of flip-flops were missing from the bathroom. I recommend it 😉

We booked for Valentine's Day and were unfortunately quite disappointed overall. Upon arrival, we were told our room was ready. However, the previous occupant's sheets and towels were still in the room. The receptionists were very responsive, offering us another room and escorting us there. The room itself was clean (not very large, but not a problem for a weekend). The shower pressure was poor and very noisy (a muffled sound when we turned it up to the maximum). The toilet bowl was yellowed and needs replacing. The ventilation system ran constantly, but it made a high-pitched noise that became unpleasant if we focused on it. There was no street noise or anything else outside, but we could hear the music and the heels of the person upstairs. We wanted to access the fitness area, but it was impossible (we were told there was ongoing construction, but there was no mention of this on the door, which was a shame). Regarding the restaurant: an elegant and welcoming setting with polite and attentive servers. They offered excellent drink recommendations. The set menu at €95 per person was delicious; a big thank you to the chef who delighted our palates with his skill. A minor drawback was the wait between courses, which we felt was a bit too long (an opinion shared by our neighbors at the next table!). Breakfast was included in our package: a wide selection of high-quality, fresh, and local products. Overall, a top-notch culinary experience, but we were a little disappointed with the hotel. That's a shame.
