A bit disappointed for a 4-star hotel. The room needs updating, the bathroom with shower wasn't great, and there were cobwebs on the window frames, which wasn't ideal. However, the pool, gym, hammam, and sauna were excellent. Value for money not great. Breakfast was adequate.

5 days at the Mercure Hotel in Cabourg! Charming staff, superior rooms perfectly adequate with balconies. This hotel is close to the town center, yet very peaceful and quiet. We had a wonderful rest. Thank you to the staff.

Excellent facilities, impeccable cleanliness, and friendly staff. It's a shame that some guests are impolite and don't respect the hotel's rules, which can sometimes disturb the peace and quiet. However, this doesn't detract from the overall quality of the hotel, which I highly recommend.

Nice hotel, small but clean and functional rooms, well-equipped pool and sauna area, breakfast room a bit cramped. It's difficult to find a parking space; the spaces with charging stations are often occupied by gasoline or electric cars that aren't charging. The stations are therefore unusable most of the time, which is a real shame. The price is a bit high.

The bed was uncomfortable, as were the chairs in the breakfast room. As a result, I had back pain and barely ate breakfast. The seating should be parallel to the floor, but instead, you're sitting on garden furniture. The room itself is decent, but the bathroom is less so. The bathtub is high, and the grout is poorly done, with black spots. The soap and towels are fine. As for breakfast, you shouldn't be a big coffee drinker; the machines are pre-set, making it difficult to get the exact amount of coffee or milk you want. I wasn't tempted by the cold cuts, and I would have liked the option of fried eggs. The crepes looked good, but after having a mini pain au chocolat, a mini croissant (which was good), and a very good orange juice, I couldn't eat more because of the uncomfortable chairs. So, in the end, the room and breakfast were overpriced. I expected better, especially since I saw it was a 3-star hotel.

Superb hotel, with good service and a great team

Positive points: The hotel is a manageable size, with relatively spacious rooms. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, which is a plus. The breakfast is good. The pool and gym are also pleasant. Negative points: We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and our keys were deactivated after two days without any explanation, which is incomprehensible. There is no trash can in the toilets—a first for us after many hotel stays. The hand sanitizer was not replenished, and several standard items for a 4-star hotel were missing: no glass in the bathroom, no makeup remover pads, and no usual toiletries kit. The same applies to the amenities: no umbrella or iron. Regarding water, only a small, non-returnable carafe is provided, which is inconvenient. When the manager told us that this met the “Mercure standard,” it raised questions: is this standard lower than what we expect from a 4-star hotel? If so, we will consider avoiding this chain on our future trips, as it falls far short of our expectations. We understand that significant investments may be made in wellness or spa facilities, but this should not come at the expense of basic, expected services. Finally, one particularly inconsistent point: the presence of a sticker stating “do not flush down the toilet” (with a bin supposedly available near the sink)… when, in fact, there is no bin in the toilet.

Clean room and very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, and a very good spa. Located near the city.

Excellent hotel, a 10-minute walk from the city center. We enjoyed the facilities and the pool. We only wished there had been a restaurant for rainy evenings.

Good Mercure as could be expected, but rather noisy. Some insulation problems. Running or crying children in one of the adjoining rooms or corridor reverberate seriously. More a construction issue than anything else. Friendly personnel.
