26/04/2026: I love the new decor! And the food is still as good as ever!

26/04/2026: To celebrate scallop season, we had a wonderful meal at Baligan in Cabourg. We'll definitely have to come back to try the rest of their very tempting menu. The service was quick and friendly.

06/04/2026: I've been going to this crêperie for 10 years. Always excellent quality, no need for advertising; this crêperie is packed from the moment it opens. No reservations, so go and try it—success guaranteed.

05/04/2026: Crêperie located in the pedestrian zone. As its name suggests, it's decorated with lots of little teddy bears. Warm and friendly welcome. The galettes and crêpes are excellent. Around €24 per person for a galette and a crêpe.

16/05/2026: It's a real shame because the crepes are delicious, but the person who greets you is incredibly unpleasant! A word of advice if you plan to go: don't be even 5 minutes late, otherwise you'll get a lecture that time is time, even if the restaurant is empty… Also, be aware that when you make a reservation, you don't get to choose the time, and we were refused a 7:30 pm reservation on a Saturday evening for 7 people; we had to be there at 7 pm. It's a shame this business owner treats her customers this way, but luckily for her, her chef is a very good cook.

The service and welcome were top-notch, and the food was excellent – ​​meat, galettes, fish – all delicious! 👍 I highly recommend it. 05/05/2026: Superb hotel, with good service and a great team

05/05/2026: Positive points: The hotel is a manageable size, with relatively spacious rooms. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, which is a plus. The breakfast is good. The pool and gym are also pleasant. Negative points: We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and our keys were deactivated after two days without any explanation, which is incomprehensible. There is no trash can in the toilets—a first for us after many hotel stays. The hand sanitizer was not replenished, and several standard items for a 4-star hotel were missing: no glass in the bathroom, no makeup remover pads, and no usual toiletries kit. The same applies to the amenities: no umbrella or iron. Regarding water, only a small, non-returnable carafe is provided, which is inconvenient. When the manager told us that this met the “Mercure standard,” it raised questions: is this standard lower than what we expect from a 4-star hotel? If so, we will consider avoiding this chain on our future trips, as it falls far short of our expectations. We understand that significant investments may be made in wellness or spa facilities, but this should not come at the expense of basic, expected services. Finally, one particularly inconsistent point: the presence of a sticker stating “do not flush down the toilet” (with a bin supposedly available near the sink)… when, in fact, there is no bin in the toilet.

18/04/2026: Spacious and comfortable room, very nice hotel, excellent restaurant with some great discoveries, impeccable room service, the children were delighted, and the staff were truly very pleasant. And being able to step directly from the hotel to the beach is fantastic.

14/04/2026: A magnificent hotel by the sea, with impeccable rooms and bedding. A varied breakfast and a very warm welcome from the reception staff. We also enjoyed the facial massage in the wellness area.

22/03/2026: I ordered a Liège waffle with two scoops of ice cream, it was delicious. However, the hostess's service when taking our order left much to be desired. She wasn't friendly when we asked her to repeat herself because of the noise. The same person was there behind us...

08/03/2026: We were about to go in for lunch, then the owner came out to change the menu display. Not a hello, he simply complained about the other customers, with a haughty and disdainful air… we went to eat elsewhere 😉

06/03/2026: We ordered chicken as a main course and found pork cheeks on our plates without any warning before or after. The portions were rather small. I'll pass on this place next time.

11/05/2026: I ordered foie gras with Pommeau as a starter and was very disappointed as it had no flavor and I found a small piece of plastic inside. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the waitress, who, I should point out, is the owner, but she offered no alternative starter or compensation. The main course was also disappointing (stewed veal à la Normande); you couldn't taste the apple pieces in the sauce—just three small, 1.5cm cubes swimming in sauce. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good value dinner.

04/01/2025: On a Friday evening, no more sole, no more whole lobster. So I chose monkfish fillet. On my plate I received 3 small pieces curled up with the scent of ammonia....so I couldn't eat anything. The lobster bisque consisted of a tiny quenelle... The champagne by the glass tasted really special...

30/04/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant with the children, seated at a table of six on the terrace. A seafood platter for my husband and mussels and fries for the rest of us!
