Excellent gourmet restaurant. High quality. The welcome, the very classy staff, the service, the quality of the dishes, and the tablecloths and cloth napkins. I highly recommend this restaurant with its superb setting and windmill.
A very good, refined restaurant. We made a reservation for a lovely family celebration and were welcomed into a very pleasant air-conditioned room, which was much appreciated in this very hot weather.

First off I visited on a very VERY hot summers day. Sadly it was a bit quiet when we went - I think due to the heat - and we where mad walking from Chambellay for Lunch but the staff where very accomodating bringing us plenty of iced water to keep us cool. Still we battled the heat to get here as we wanted to eat owing to the reviews and the location.
Thankfully the menu is not too expansive which I think is a huge plus as the chefs can focus on a small number of dishes and make them very well indeed. As you'd expect in France (certainly for Lunch) you can chose between a two dish option, or three dish option (starter, lunch and dessert) making pricing simpler. In short the food was exceptional - and we where also brought a very fresh and cooling amuse-bouche which was a very pleasant surprise. They also have an excellent drinks and wine list which has many wines from the local Loire valley.
Its a beutiful location too - with the Mayenne river just about visible. Its recommended to drive here (unless of course you are staying nearby) and is walkable from Chambellay nearby (although I'd not recommend doing it in a heatwave otherwise you might want to jump in the river!)
Service-wise the staff where very welcoming and very friendly and despite our efforts to speak French thankfully a few had a little knowledge of English to help us out. If I was in the area again - we would certianly eat here again!

We received a very warm welcome. The staff were very dedicated to their work and did a great job despite the restaurant being full. The meal was delicious. Although our voucher only included a starter and main course or a main course and dessert, being the foodies we are, we ordered a full meal and paid the difference, of course. Go without hesitation; you'll be delighted with everything.
