La Table Gourmande - Chez Serge sur Le Lardin-Saint-Lazare

A set menu for €20 includes three starters (one of which is a delicious soup), a main course, a cheese platter, a dessert, and wine. You can help yourself to the dishes left on the table. The owner provides quick, friendly, and humorous service. Ample parking is available at the rear. A very pleasant stop that I highly recommend. Go there; you won't be disappointed.

Well what an absolute gem of a find not to mention a rarity these days a Routier that’s open weekends the food is beautifully but rusticity prepared and served but the flavours are wonderful good red wine and a lovely friendly host Parking for 10-11 trucks well worth a visit guys n gals it’s places like this that make you appreciate the job we do Please support all Routier and let’s keep them going

Old-fashioned roadside diner, the best

First of all, thank you to the owner (Serge?) who is very kind and does his best to be quick and friendly 👍🏻 Then, unbeatable price for €10: soup, crudités, cold cuts, main course, dessert, cheese. The downsides: the restaurant has unfortunately suffered from the decline in customers for this type of establishment and the fact that habits are changing, with fewer truck drivers able to afford lunch (most truck drivers are now from other countries). So you can tell this restaurant was great years ago, but now it's a bit run out of steam. The dishes lack a bit of quality and care because they're very basic. So go for it, €10 is very good, but I hope the owner will have a change of heart because it could be and become a top restaurant, as there aren't many like it nearby unless you go to Périgueux or Brive. So, all the best to this boss, whom I certainly don't want to overwhelm, because he's doing his best, and I wish him lots of courage because what he's doing is incredibly difficult, all alone. So there you have it.

French cuisine just the way we like it

I'm a truck driver, and whenever I can, I stop by Serge's. The atmosphere is warm and the food is good. You hardly ever find restaurants like this anymore. Sincerely, Patrick

A restaurant that's authentic, old-fashioned... You won't find dishes decorated with little flowers here, and that's what makes it so good. It's so refreshing to discover places like this.
