La Table Saint-Roux sur Le Cannet-Des-Maures

The ambiance is wonderful, especially when you can sit outside. Inside, there's also great "historic" furniture and plenty of space. The service is quick and very friendly, but unfortunately, a few drinks were forgotten. On the other hand, too many drinks were charged at the end. However, correcting the bill was no problem. Food: The appetizers are a must, as they are original and delicious. The main courses are also very creatively composed. Unfortunately, they lack a certain something in their preparation. Hardly any spices or herbs. And this is in Provence! Try it and see if you feel the same way. I was a little disappointed... Unfortunately

The quality of the food was, as always, excellent: high-quality ingredients, delicious cuisine, and a magnificent setting. That's why I particularly appreciate Château Saint Roux and why we continue to recommend it. However, we were rather disappointed by the service this time, which didn't live up to the experience we'd had previously. During the meal, no wine suggestions were offered. When my father pointed this out, the response he received was unfortunately rather unfriendly. My sister then asked what the daily special was. She was told: pasta with goat cheese and burrata. When her dish arrived, she noticed that it also contained a sauce with onions, which she can't digest. So she called the waitress over to explain the situation. She was told that the sauce was already mixed with the onions and that there was nothing that could be done. We were quite surprised by this response, because given the quality of the establishment and the food, we were expecting a slight adjustment to the dish—for example, pasta without the sauce, simply with a drizzle of olive oil and the burrata. Unfortunately, no alternative was offered, and she ultimately went without being able to eat her meal. For my part, when I asked for bread during the meal service, the response was also rather curt: "Yes, madam, but please wait," with the feeling that the staff was overwhelmed. It's a shame, because these small details somewhat spoiled the experience. We understand that service can be more complicated on some days, but in an establishment of this caliber, we also expect a certain level of attention and flexibility towards customers. That being said, the setting, the quality of the ingredients, and the cuisine remain excellent. We still recommend this restaurant, hoping that our next visit will live up to our previous experience.
